BizInt Smart Charts for Patents

Current Version: 5.9.7 (2026-10-10)

  • We have enhanced the behavior of the Update feature, so that hidden rows in a chart remain hidden when the chart is updated. There are two new row status values -- "Updated Hidden" and "Unchanged Hidden". See the new Update support page for more details.

Testing release: If you are able to easily install new software and if you update charts with hidden rows, please try this release and let us know if you see any behaviors that you don't expect. We are planning a 6.0 release later this month.

  • Multiple alignments in summary records now skip hidden source rows.
  • Preliminary support for links on JP and KR numbers.
  • Fixed a few problems with Common Patent Family and the New Publications column due to incorrectly parsed publication numbers.
  • Added "BizInt Simple - plain grid with no color" export option, similar to old BizInt Simple export.
  • Updated database segment names for MEDLINE and CABA on Ovid.

  • Updated database segment names for MEDLINE on Ovid.
