Rémy in Agility

Rémy started agility class at Jump Start Dog Sports in June 2001. He entered his first AKC agility trial in December 2001 -- and was terrible! But with a little more experience and training, Remy got his first novice legs in May 2002 and both his novice titles in June 2002. Remy acquired his Open Agility title in December 2002 at the HIDAC trials with two perfect scores in Open Standard. He qualified in his first two Open Jumpers runs in July 2002 (this is easy!) -- then needed eight more runs to get his third leg and Open Jumpers title in January 2003. Remy got his Excellent Jumpers (AXJ) title in May 2003, his Excellent standard (AX) title in June 2003, and followed with his Master titles in late 2003. Remy was one of the top five AKC agility dachshunds in 2003 and 2004, and was one of four dachshunds to qualify for the 2004 AKC Agility National Championships.

Remy and John are currently working towards a Master Agility Champion (MACH) title. You can follow their progress towards the MACH title on his Excellent B page.

In October 2004 Remy started having seizures and was diagnosed with ideopathic epilepsy. While we're figuring out his medication levels, Remy is running Preferred agility and jumping at 4" instead of 8". He is having a ball and has already earned his Novice Jumpers Preferred title.
