Workshop Description

BizInt Solutions is proud to offer a workshop in conjunction with the PIUG 2014 Annual Conference.

This workshop will demonstrate how to use the BizInt Smart Charts product family to create accurate and useful reports and visualizations of patent information.  We will also show examples from other domains such as clinical trials.

Through a series of recipes from our Cookbook of Reports and Visualizations, you will learn how to:

  • create reports combining data from different patent and gene sequence databases and identify related records across databases, using BizInt Smart Charts for Patents;
  • clean-up, normalize, and transform data from different databases using tools in VantagePoint - BizInt Smart Charts Edition (VP-SCE);
  • filter patent families by authorities of interest;
  • analyze and visualize your normalized and de-duplicated data in VP-SCE.
VP-SCE
  • distribute reports in HTML, Word, Excel, and Acrobat, with links to backing records and related information.

In the course of the workshop we will use a variety of data types -- patent and gene sequence databases plus drug pipeline and clinical trials databases.

Of course we'll also keep you up to date with the latest developments in the BizInt Smart Charts product line!

This workshop is for both current users of BizInt Smart Charts and VantagePoint and others interested in new tools for analysis and presentation of patent information.

The workshop is free.
